Der Deutsche Musikrat gibt Empfehlungen für Honoraruntergrenzen bei BKM-Förderung

Auf dem Weg zu fairer Vergütung

Seit dem 1. Juli 2024 gilt für kulturelle Projekte und Einrichtungen, die zu mindestens 50 Prozent durch den Bund gefördert werden, eine verbindliche Verpflichtung zur Einhaltung von Mindestvergütungsstandards für Tätigkeiten auf Honorarbasis. Als Grundlage dafür sollen die Empfehlungen für Honoraruntergrenzen der relevanten Berufs- und Fachverbände herangezogen werden. Der Deutsche Musikrat empfiehlt nun als Honoraruntergrenze für einen Tagessatz für selbstständige Musiker:innen 300 Euro für die Jahre 2025/26. Zugleich macht er deutlich: Die eigentlich auskömmliche Untergrenze, um ein angemessenes Einkommen zu ermöglichen, wäre ein Tagessatz von 622 Euro. Antje Valentin, Generalsekretärin des Deutschen Musikrats, betont: „Die gemeinsam verbändeübergreifend erarbeiteten Empfehlungen sind ein Meilenstein auf dem Weg zu fairen Vergütungsstandards in der Kulturbranche. Sie sind das Ergebnis eines intensiven Austauschprozesses und einer großen Verbundenheit und Solidarität der unter dem Dach des Deutschen Musikrats beheimateten Verbände. Wir sagen aber auch ganz klar: Das Ziel aller politischen Bemühungen in den kommenden Jahren muss es sein, Kulturhaushalte aus öffentlicher Hand finanziell so auszustatten, dass faire Honorare, nicht nur Honoraruntergrenzen, gezahlt werden. Bereits mit den aktuellen Förderbudgets ist die hier empfohlene Honoraruntergrenze nur schwer zu realisieren. Deshalb müssen Haushaltsansätze dringend erhöht werden, da ansonsten wichtige freie Strukturen der Kulturlandschaft und wertvolle Vielfalt wegzubrechen und unwiederbringlich verloren zu gehen drohen. Hierfür setzt sich der Deutsche Musikrat weiterhin intensiv ein.“

Die vorliegende Empfehlung wurde von der AG „Faire Vergütung“ in einer ausführlichen Klausurtagung erarbeitet und durch das Präsidium des Deutschen Musikrats am 27. Februar 2025 verabschiedet. Die Empfehlungen werden jährlich aktualisiert.

Promoting young musicians in the ensemblesof the German Music Council also includes performing on stage in front of an audience. The project leaders are happy to accept requests for engagements. The German Music Competition concert promotion program arranges approximately 200 concerts a year for concert organizers and concert series.
