The Executive Committee of the German Music Council is elected by the General Assembly for a term of four years. It consists of the President, three Vice-Presidents, one representative delegated by the Conference of State Music Councils, and up to fourteen additional members.
Candidacy for a position on the Executive Committee is open to all prominent figures in the music world, provided that their main area of activity is in Germany. It is not tied to membership or a position as a delegate of a member of the German Music Council. Candidacy is based on a nomination by a member.
The Executive Committee will be re-elected at the General Assembly of the German Music Council in October 2029.
