Norddeutsches Zupforchester präsentiert Werk „Takelage“ von Birke Bertelsmeier in Hamburg

Bei dem Frühjahrskonzert des Norddeutschen Zupforchesters am 11. Februar 2024 im kleinen Saal der Elbphilharmonie Hamburg steht die Uraufführung des eigens für sie geschriebenen Stückes „Takelage“ auf dem Programm. Birke Bertelsmeier wurde als Auswahl-Komponistin der CD-Reihe Edition Zeitgenössische Musik im Rahmen der EZM-Amateurförderung des Podium Gegenwart, einem Projekt des Deutschen Musikrates, mit der Komposition beauftragt.

Grundgedanke der EZM-Amateurförderung ist die enge Zusammenarbeit zwischen Musiker:innen und Komponist:innen. Birke Bertelsmeier konnte dementsprechend beim Probenwochenende des Norddeutschen Zupforchesters in Ratzeburg ihre Klangvorstellungen erläutern und stand für Fragen und Vorschläge der Musiker:innen zur Verfügung. Für den Satz „Klabautermann“ gab sie Tipps, durch welche Spieltechniken man den schelmischen Kobold auf hölzernem Schiffsboden hörbar machen kann. Im Satz „Küssende“ sollen die Spieler:innen von Mandoline, Mandola und Gitarre laut Partitur den Korpus ihrer Instrumente streicheln. Auf diese Weise nähern sie sich musikalisch dem im norddeutschen mit „Küssende“ benannten magischen Moment an, wenn der Horizont die Sonne berührt und sich das Meer verfärbt. Für das Werk „Takelage“ hatte Bertelsmeier Fasern und Motive von ihr aus Kindheitserinnerungen bekannten Seemannsliedern miteinander verflochten, die in neuer Gestalt im Stück verschwinden. 

Das Probenwochenende wurde filmisch begleitet und ist Teil einer Reihe von Projekten für Amateur-Musiker:innen, die online zum Nachspielen auf www.vermittlung-neue-musik.de für Interessierte zur Verfügung steht. Die Veröffentlichung der Videos von den Proben, ein Mitschnitt des Stückes sowie Texte und Partitur zum Download werden in Kürze veröffentlicht.

Musicians can sing or play in the ensembles of the German Music Council, the Federal Youth Orchestra, the Federal Jazz Orchestra and the Federal Youth Choir, and take part in competitions. Promoting young musicians in the ensemblesof the German Music Council also includes performing on stage in front of an audience. The project leaders are happy to accept requests for engagements. The German Music Competition concert promotion program arranges approximately 200 concerts a year for concert organizers and concert series.
