InSzene-Ensembles präsentieren sich beim Festival ACHT BRÜCKEN in Köln

Das ÉRMA Ensemble und das Fabrik Quartet sind seit 2023 Stipendiaten im Förderprogramm InSzene von Podium Gegenwart. Gefördert werden herausragende Ensembles neuer Musik, die am Beginn ihrer professionellen Laufbahn stehen. Beim Festival für neue Musik „ACHT BRÜCKEN | Musik für Köln“ gestalten die jungen Ensembles als Abschluss ihres Förderturnus am 10. Mai 2025 um 16 Uhr ein Konzert mit Musik von Angel Hernández Lovera, Gérard Grisey, Kathrin A. Denner und Milica Djordjević. Die Lagerstätte für die mobilen Hochwasserschutzelemente in Köln Rodenkirchen sorgt dabei als Spielstätte für eine außergewöhnliche Konzertatmosphäre.

Angel Hernández Lovera verästelt in seinem neuen Werk Parallelwelten. Musikalische Abzweigungen eröffnen alternative Realitäten, die zeitgleich fortbestehen.
Bei Gérard Grisey kreuzen sich die Gegenwelten Licht und Gegenlicht („Jour, contre-jour“), passend zum Festival-Motto „Licht!“. Inspiriert von Überlieferungen zum altägyptischen Sonnengott Ra und seiner Reise am hellen Tage (dem Leben) und der Rückreise in der dunklen Nacht (dem Tod) entstand ein Stück, das verschiedene Dualismen und ihre Schattierungen bespielt: harmonische und inharmonische Spektren, akustische und elektronische Klänge.

Nachdem sich die erste Konzerthälfte um die Polarität von Tag und Nacht dreht, behandelt die zweite Hälfte Luft und Weltall. Kathrin A. Denner lässt in „Aeris“, das im Rahmen der InSzene-Förderung entstand, mit großer Leichtigkeit und Bewegtheit das Streichquartett auf Impulse von Klangschalen reagieren. Milica Djordjević betitelt ihr energetisches Stück „The Death of the Star-Knower, petrified echoes of an epitaph in a kicked crystal of time I & II“ im kosmischen Kontext und setzt akustische Impulse wie Lichtblitze im All.

Musicians can sing or play in the ensembles of the German Music Council, the Federal Youth Orchestra, the Federal Jazz Orchestra and the Federal Youth Choir, and take part in competitions. With four other projects in the area of promotion, the German Music Council supports young, highly talented musicians, conductors, composers and interpreters of contemporary music as well as pop musicians on their way to a professional musical life and builds a bridge between musicians, organizers and the public. The German Music Council is the sponsor of the competitions for children and young people: Jugend musiziert and Jugend jazzt, the competitions for professional musicians: the German Music Competition, the German Conducting Award (formerly the German Conducting Prize) and the German Choral Conducting Award, as well as the competitions for amateur musicians: theGerman Choir Competition and the German Orchestra Competition.

The German Music Council (Deutscher Musikrat e. V.) is the mouthpiece and initiator of music policy issues for its members.

Promoting young musicians in the ensemblesof the German Music Council also includes performing on stage in front of an audience. The project leaders are happy to accept requests for engagements. The German Music Competition concert promotion program arranges approximately 200 concerts a year for concert organizers and concert series.

Music educators will find concepts and working materials for music lessons at the Podium Gegenwart's educational projects. Current developments in music policy and studies can be found in the "Music Education" section, as well as specialist articles on this topic at the German Music Information Center.
