Auf einen Blick: Musikverbände in Deutschland

Neues Infografikposter des Deutschen Musikinformationszentrums visualisiert Akteure und Themen der verbandlich organisierten Musiklandschaft

Faltposter Musikverbände MIZ

Rund 400 Verbände, Vereinigungen und Gesellschaften engagieren sich mit einer bundesweiten, teils auch internationalen Ausrichtung für das Musikleben in Deutschland. Auf einem neuen Infografikposter stellt das Deutsche Musikinformationszentrum (miz) diese Organisationen im Überblick vor und visualisiert das Wirkungsgeflecht ihrer Themenschwerpunkte. Das Spektrum reicht von kleinen Vereinigungen, die sich einzelnen Instrumenten oder Komponisten widmen, bis zu großen Verbänden, welche die Interessen ganzer Berufsgruppen oder Branchen vertreten. Einen besonderen Fokus legt die Darstellung auf den Deutschen Musikrat (DMR), der als Dachverband der Musikverbände in diesem Jahr sein 70-jähriges Bestehen feiert.

Mit dem neuen Infografikposter, das in der jüngst mit dem internationalen IIIDaward prämierten Serie „Musikleben in Zahlen“ erschienen ist, stellt das miz einen Teilausschnitt seines umfangreichen Datenbestands infografisch vor. „Das Poster zeigt auf einen Blick die Vielzahl und große thematische Bandbreite der Musikverbände in Deutschland“, erläutert miz-Leiter Stephan Schulmeistrat. „Deutlich wird, dass alle zentralen Bereiche des Musiklebens, ob Amateurmusizieren, Musikforschung oder Musikwirtschaft, von soliden organisatorischen Strukturen durchzogen sind. Diese Strukturen tragen maßgeblich zur Qualität und zum Erfolg der Musikkultur bei, denn die Verbände bieten ein Forum für den fachlichen Austausch, bilden ein Dach für die Bündelung von Spezialinteressen und fungieren als zentrale Schaltstelle zwischen ihren Mitgliedern und übergeordneten Stellen, insbesondere der Politik.“ 

Das Infografikposter „Spektrum der Musikverbände“ ist in zwei Ausgaben erhältlich: als Faltposter mit einem erläuternden Beitrag von nmz-Mitherausgeberin Barbara Haack sowie in einer großformatigen Variante zum Aufhängen. Die Publikation ist die fünfte Ausgabe der Serie „Musikleben in Zahlen“. Bisher erschienen: Bühne frei für Vielfalt! – Opernrepertoire in Deutschland; Am Pult der Zeit!? – Chancengleichheit in deutschen Berufsorchestern; Stadt, Land, Flöte – Orte und Kontexte des Amateurmusizierens sowie Wege zur Musik – Öffentliche Musikschulen in Deutschland.

Musicians can sing or play in the ensembles of the German Music Council, the Federal Youth Orchestra, the Federal Jazz Orchestra and the Federal Youth Choir, and take part in competitions. With four other projects in the area of promotion, the German Music Council supports young, highly talented musicians, conductors, composers and interpreters of contemporary music as well as pop musicians on their way to a professional musical life and builds a bridge between musicians, organizers and the public. Promoting young musicians in the ensemblesof the German Music Council also includes performing on stage in front of an audience. The project leaders are happy to accept requests for engagements. The German Music Competition concert promotion program arranges approximately 200 concerts a year for concert organizers and concert series.

Music educators will find concepts and working materials for music lessons at the Podium Gegenwart's educational projects. Current developments in music policy and studies can be found in the "Music Education" section, as well as specialist articles on this topic at the German Music Information Center.
